His career spans an array of industries and organization landscapes, from mission-driven startups like Nau and the Biomimicry Institute to fast-paced consultancies like XPLANE and global corporations like lululemon and Johnson & Johnson.
At Johnson & Johnson, Ethan led key projects at the intersection of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and internal business transformations. He managed high-profile research and facilitated critical negotiations with senior leaders in projects that led to several successful internal and publicly launched initiatives.
As a member of lululemon's advanced innovation leadership team, Ethan supported designers, biomechanical researchers and technologists, formed coalitions amongst cross-functional teams throughout the business and engaged with external vendors and academic labs to explore ambitious, long-horizon concepts that challenged conventions.
As a program leader at the Biomimicry Institute, Ethan supported teams developing digital platforms that pushed the boundaries of technology to deliver biologically-inspired insights that reached millions of innovators. He also co-developed an open-source consulting model that helped enterprise R&D teams incorporate biomimicry and systems thinking into their projects and workflows.
